Why Goal Setting is Important

They say that if you write down your goals, you will actually accomplish them. How many times do we sit down, dream, and then say “I’m going to do XYZ one day.” Then, you look back and realize you didn’t even take the first step. How many times have you said “I’m going to finish this book.” Then, you look back, and your bookmark is still in chapter 1. We have all been there, it’s nobody’s fault, but our own. We didn’t take the time to invest in ourselves, write down our goals, make a measurable plan, and follow through.

It’s okay. Start Today! Write down 1-5 Goals you want to accomplish by the end of the year. They don’t have to be huge goals. It can be something as simple as “Take Me time for 15 minutes, once a week.” OR “Go on a 3 mile run by Friday.” You can even set a goal of “make dinner for your significant other, spouse, or sibling on Tuesday night of this week.” Goals can be as small or big as you’d like. The point is to start and finish a goal, to write it down, to see value, and have the feeling of accomplishment.

In all that you do, don’t forget to find the good, the positive, in everything. Keep on striving towards your goals. One step at a time is all it takes, and doesn’t hurt to wear cute shoes while doing it 😉 life is all about the journey👣
